Ava is an American English female AI voice designed by Apple Inc. In this film led by sound, she is the sole narrator. Inspecting through the daily tasks of eating, dressing, and talking, we find ourselves surrounded by the limitless options presented by the commodity oriented society. Among the ultimately fictionalized demands, we interrogate ourselves, hoping to make the better choice with acquired rationality.

A performance recorded at X Museum, Beijing.
A woman died. Survivors from her life gathered together at her funeral, mourned in deafening silence. In guilt and angst, two strangers started a conversation accompanied by synthesizer noise. Their words were text-to-speech sung by AI voices designed by Google, inc., in an estranged and detached manner.
During the intermissions of each conversations, 12 non-male participants (recruited from internet) performed their piece, an object “related to death” they brought to make sound with, creating an ensemble of death noise.
